In 2009, Ariko Inaoka began documenting the lives of 9 year-old identical twins, Erna and Hrefna, with the plan to keep on shooting until they reached the age of 16.

The goal of the project is to "capture the very precious period of their growth from child to teenager, both physically and psychologically." The initial stage of documentation ran from 2009-10 with a year in-between the next stage starting in 2011.

photographs.

The photographs have been meticulously cleaned and left to dry on clothing pegs in a school gymnasium in the town of Natori, Miyagi prefecture.
Survivors are given the opportunity to look at the photographs on display in the hope of identifying friends and family members.
In some cases, the photograph will be the only thing that is left behind.

Children of the Forest, Bechance Project

The land of the Children of the Forest.
The land of two people (the Karen and the Mon) who live without recognition or rights. The Chidlren of the Forest initiative aims to provide protection, education and assistance to those who need it most.

This project, as featured on Behance—is one that will take your breath away without knowing any details of the story. Amazing photography......

It’s an homage to the invisible good that happen in this world. It pulls at one’s reality and makes it shed a few layers.
